Nature.

This image really inspired me, although it isnt multicoloured which is what i am interested in, somehow the different shades of green lighten up the picture and give it energy. I am also interested in the scale of the contents of the picture. How the photographer has took it at a distance so it looks never ending. The giant leaves look larger in the nearest part of the image and gradually get slower as it moves outwards. This adds depth and a sense of 3D.

I have recently been inspired by nature, early morning exercise, going for a jog around Daisy Nook really has opened my eyes to the beauty of natural forms. Many of the lakes i saw there are beautiful. They have plants that have grown in the middle of them with budding flowers opening up adding colour to the greenery. Next time im there ill be getting some pictures to put up for inspiration.

I heart this look, its cool, free and stylish!

I also think accessories are a huge part to pulling this off! headbands and material bows in your hair are a must.

I you are male i think the beaded bracelets set off the style!

Dont forget the wellies!

The Boho look.

Unfortunately, i havent been able to go to a festival this year due to money situations and the fact that i have a holiday to save for. However looking through magazines and clips on t.v it has occured to me that, a festival is no longer just about music and the acts that are playing.
Fashion has become a huge part of it and people are no longer just throwing in a few t-shirts and shorts, unless there trendy that is!
The Boho look has swept its way in this year, being inspired by the birth of the festivals for instance the first years of the Glastonbury Festival. Back in the 70`s it was all about Hippies and Bohemians that didnt have a care in the world, wearing loose clothing and looking slightly rough supporting freedom and peace. Now there are all types of people that attend from all different walks of life! Glastonbury now caters for a wider audience. Rap/hip hop artists are now performing on the main stage and changing the whole concept of what it was originally about! However it has been very successful.
People are travelling from all over the country to gather at what has now turned into a fashion parade! from cotton jumpsuits to headbands the Boho look has become the current trend and festivals are the place to find it! I am seeing large floral prints, maxi dresses, beads, the gladiator sandal, jumpsuits, playsuits, messed up hair, oversized shirts and oversized sunnys!
I have taken lots of inspriation from this trend and am a big fan!

Holes, folds and pleating..

I really really like these designs. I am a big fan of manipulating fabrics and in this case, how Issey Miyake has cut out holes in the fabric to make the garment 3d. By putting a hole in something you are automatically giving it a back and front making it 3 dimensional. He has used different techniques to create texture for example, pleating, holes and folds and with this being a lightweight fabric it drapes to create delicate folds.

Issey Miyake - Pleats Please Collection

This collection from Issey Miyake is stunning, as a designer he is always thinking of ways to adapt 3d to fashion and how you can bring shape and volume into garments. This collection being all about pleats shows how by pleating fabrics such as chiffons and polyesters gives a dramatic never ending effect to a garment. Also a fan like shape. I really like this image because of the styling, i like the way the model is posing it brings the image to life and also adds shape to fit with the dress. The 3d shape gives off volume and really compliments the body!
